The ordered SBA-15-type mesoporous silica matrices containing up to 14.6 mol % ТіО2 were obtained through a template synthesis using block-соpolymer polyethylene oxide (РЕО) and polypropylene oxide (РРО) (РЕО)20(РРО)70(РЕО)2, potassium silicate or tetraethoxysilane and titanium tetrabutoxide. Those are characterized by specific surface area values about 600 m2/g and pore volumes up to 1.5 cm3/g. Titanium inclusion into crystalline structure, unlike those of MCM-41-type, occurs mostly as TiO2 nanoparticles. Their photocatalytic activity can by controlled via the change in HCl : H2SO4 ratio in reaction mixture.
